CDU is the major tertiary public education institution in the Northern Territory, a unique region spanning the wet tropics in the north and arid desert in the south. The University main campus is located in Darwin and offers unique and exciting study opportunities in one of the world’s most culturally and biologically diverse regions.

Research centers in Alternative Energy, Sustainable Tourism, Tropical Savannas, Wildlife, Tropical Health and Tropical Rivers and Coastal Knowledge Systems are located at the University. The United Nations University Centre for Traditional Knowledge is also located at the University.
